  • Completed construction of the $40.6 million Reid Highway-Alexander Drive interchange, eliminating the metropolitan area’s worst crash site
  • Opening of the $155 million Mandurah Entrance Road (Mandjoogoordap Drive) in October 2010, almost three months ahead of schedule
  • Completed $125 million of upgrades on Great Northern Highway between Muchea and Wubin (stage 1)
  • Opening of the $98 million Indian Ocean Drive (Lancelin-Cervantes Stage 2 Project), completed nine months ahead of schedule
  • Launch of our “Women in Management Policy” aiming to increase the presence of women in senior management positions
  • Overall community satisfaction with our services achieves 97%
  • Main Roads received the Alliancing Association of Australasia’s Outstanding Contribution Award recognising our role in advancing alliancing delivery methods
  • Planning study commenced on the Gateway WA project to upgrade and revitalise the road network near and around Perth Airport
  • Historic agreement signed with six members of the Mid West Regional Council helping to sustain communities in rural centres and forging stronger links with Local Government
  • Pilbara Industry Road Safety Alliance launched in November 2010 bringing together some of the largest resource companies in the North West working with government to reduce death and injury on our roads
  • Our new Great Southern Regional Office was recognised by the Australian Institute of Architects WA with its Sustainability Award
  • Our first fully electric vehicle became part of our light vehicle fleet
  • New Customer Service Charter released.
