Over the years Main Roads has accumulated a wealth of specialised knowledge relating to the design and construction of roads and bridges and associated environmental aspects.

Our expertise has been used to develop guidelines, standards and specifications for use by internal staff, and external consultants working for Main Roads.
 
A broad spectrum of road and bridge design information, environmental management, pavement technology, surveying methods and data, traffic engineering, and project and contract information is easily available to those interested.
 
This specialised knowledge will continue to play an important part in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of our road network.
