Main Roads Network Contractor, Downer EDi Works has programmed the following works.
Guard rail repairs on Great Eastern Highway at Hines Hill (20 km west of Merredin) until 27 November 2009. Speed reduced to 40 km/h during working hours and 60 km/h after hours. Portable traffic signals in place.
Pavement widening over 3 km of Indian Ocean Drive commencing in the vicinity of Ledge Point Road in Shire of Gingin. Lane closures with stop and slow, one lane at a time.
Vegetation control and tree trimming (weather permitting) with mobile and static traffic control on the following roads:
• Wongan Hills Calingiri Road from Victoria Plains to Chittering Shire.
• Toodyay Road in Toodyay Shire
• Northam-Pithara Road in Northam, Goomalling, Wongan-Ballidu and Dalwallinu Shires
• Great Eastern Highway from Northam through to Merredin Shires.
Motorists are advised to follow directions from the traffic controllers at the above locations.

Access Alliance - Great Northern Highway
Construction and sealing works are underway on four sections of Great Northern Highway.
• The intersection upgrade of Great Northern Highway/Brand Highway/Muchea East Road.
• A 4 km section located 10 km south of Bindoon
• Various locations within an 8 km section from Seven Mile Well to New Norcia.
• A 6 km section, 6 km north of New Norcia from the Yericoin turnoff to Batty Bog Road.

These sections will have reduced speed limits and lane closures during working hours.

A-Line East – Great Eastern Highway - Kellerberrin Upgrade
ALine East are carrying out road works at Steelweld Road / Great Eastern Highway intersection. Traffic control is in place during the day. These works will continue until approximately Christmas when works shift to the townsite.
Drainage installation in Kellerberrin townsite is expected to continue until Christmas. For emergencies please contact the Construction Manager Michael Young on 0437 700 239.

Roadworks – Great Northern Highway

Works are being undertaken by Access Alliance as part of an upgrade program for Great Northern Highway between Muchea and Wubin. The alliance is a partnership between Main Roads WA, Brierty Ltd and Maunsell 1 Aecom.

Construction crews will be working at various points between Muchea and Bindi Bindi at any given time.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays to traffic during construction, however drivers should allow for additional travel time. At points the Highway will be reduced to a single lane with reduced speed limits.
